Just got a rejection in the mail from a story I'd submitted in November, 2011. :(
Looking at my tracking sheet, I only have one story out there with them now. I'd better submit another one!
Does anyone want to read the reject? I'll post it here if there's interest.

So sorry your story came back. I have one I'm sitting on until I take your class. I wrote it after studying all your analyzing. LOL But still, no sense in wasting my effort with something that's obviously problematic. I was soooo excited about it, decided to sleep on it for a few days and then out of the blue, all these "problems" jumped out at me. :) Ab-so-lute-ly can not wait for your class. I belong to the yahoo group too but since I'm a newby at this WW writing, thought I'd keep my mouth shut until I have something to contribute.
No. No reason given, as usual. It did come from Seattle, though. So Johnene saw it. I'll post the story. :)
Jess, isn't that weird how a little time can give you so much distance from your story? I'm glad you're taking the class. I can't wait for it to start!
Did you post the rejected story, Kate? I'd love to see it. The one I mentioned that Pat Gaddis rejected recently was such a surprise, and she didn't say a word. It was about an Elvis Presley impersonator, and it was cute. Don't you sometimes think "They'll love this one"?

I'd vote - Loved it!
Very cute. Sentimental home-coming, reunion, fix-up, all rolled into one. The only thing I can think of - if you had added one more line after John hiring her to make scones - "and he asked me out to dinner" - or some such thing, to insinutate the happy "love" ending.
