Tagline: Nora wasn't looking for love, but she found it on a romantic train ride...

It was interesting to see a sort of "villain" in the story. If you're a regular reader of the Woman's World romances, you knew that Colette was not a serious contender. I think Jody did a good job of showing Nora analyzing the other woman without seeming catty.
Notice the moment when their hands touch near the beginning of the story. I thought that was a lovely snapshot in time. It also showed Ken being a gentleman.

This was a sweet story, but I was confused at one point. After Ken tells Nora that he had just met Colette, she says he had made the comment about "we love to live on the boat." I kept looking back to find where he'd said that but it wasn't there. It seemed like that statement would have been part of the black moment, but we didn't know about it until afterward.
Sandy, I can see why you're confused. The comment was made during the dinner when he entertained her with funny boating stories. Nora repeated something he had said from that time but the phrase she used wasn't actually mentioned in the story. Now that I look back, I might have changed that a bit. Thanks for the comment.

I don't know about you, but I write long. Then in editing a story down to 800 words, it would be very easy to leave something out that should actually be there. This is a very good story, Jody. Imagine a Canadian in a WW romance! And speaking French! Love it.
I did very much enjoy the story. I had wondered if it had just been edited out. But it was a great story.
I really liked this story. And Kate, you're right about travel stories. This one solved that by showing both people going to the same place with the idea of moving there permanently. And I liked that one of the characters was from another country.
I Love to read your short story and enjoy to read the full story. I am so glad that to read more stories from you. Usually, I love to read eBooks. I get eBooks download online and enjoy my favourite stories.
